Welcome to Abingdon, Virginia. Located in the Appalachian Mountains of
Southwest
Virginia between the Clinch and Blue Ridge Mountains in an area of beautiful scenery
lies the historic Town of Abingdon. Our rolling tree lined streets provide the
setting for a stroll back in time to admire the architecture of eighteenth and
nineteenth century residential and commercial buildings.
Many attractions await the first time visitor and beckon returning visitors
to enjoy the region's renowned fine arts centers and outdoor athletic activities
such as trails, lakes, trout streams and rolling mountains.
