Situated
in the Historic District of Abingdon Virginia (the oldest incorporated
town west of the Blue Ridge), Shepherd's Joy offers an
opportunity to experience the rare Victorian charm of an in-town farm.
The Queen Anne country style family home was begun in
1892 and has been lovingly restored with attention to preserving the old
with the conveniences of the new.
You can escape to Shepherd's Joy to rest, relax and
enjoy the pleasures of an unhurried life. Join your fellow guests on the
wrap-around porch or stroll the groomed grounds.
Inside
the Victorian home, you will find private areas for reading, writing or
having a quiet time. The four high ceiling bedrooms welcome you with
warmth and comfort and are tastefully furnished with family antiques,
memorabilia, queen sized beds and private baths. A gourmet breakfast is
served in the dining room.
